Job Description
Title: Natural / ADABAS DBA
Location: Remote
Duration: 2 Years Contract
A Senior Database Administrator is needed to support enterprise applications and database environments. The selected contractor will collaborate with other ADABAS administrators to support systems and applications within the environment.
- Required Skills & Experience
- 10 years of experience with Software AG products including ADABAS, Natural, Natural One, Predict, Construct, ADABAS Replication, Treehouse tcVision, WebMethods EntireX, CONNX SQL Gateway, ApplinX, and Natural AJAX
- 10 years of experience analyzing user requirements and system designs, along with testing, implementing, and performing quality assurance of information systems utilizing Natural One, ADABAS, MVS/JCL, COBOL/CICS, VSAM files, Linux/zLinux, Espsoft/SCL, Informix, and UNIX
- 3 years of experience advising on system architecture and developing, maintaining, and updating documentation for procedures, policies, and processes
- 2 years of knowledge and experience with SNAP, TANF, eligibility, economic assistance, and child welfare policies and procedures, including implementing state and federal mandates in Linux systems
- Advanced experience with ADABAS
- Intermediate experience with relational database systems
- Intermediate experience with CICS, JCL, CA-7, and VSAM
- Intermediate experience with SDLC methodologies
- Preferred / Not Mandatory Skills
- Experience with Jira and ITSM systems
- Experience with SCRUM or iteration methodologies
- Experience modernizing legacy applications
