Job Description
We’re hiring a long-term YouTube video editor who’s an expert at editing talking-head podcast content into high-retention midform videos.
We record 2 podcast episodes per month (about 60 minutes each) with two remote hosts and two camera angles. From those episodes, we publish 4 midforms per month, each 8–15 minutes.
We’re looking for someone who can grow with us and help shape the channel over time — not just trim clips.
Monthly Work
4 midforms/month (8–15 min each)
2-camera edit (switching angles between two remote hosts)
What we need you to do
Build a tight, engaging midform edit (remove dead air, filler, tangents)
Angle switching that feels natural and keeps pace
Audio mastering (levels, EQ, compression, noise reduction as needed)
Color correction
Add a motion graphics intro + outro
Lower thirds (clean + consistent)
B-roll and relevant cutaways to keep engagement high
Light on-screen text/SFX/punch-ins when it improves retention (not overdone)
Deliver YouTube-ready exports (we’ll provide specs)
Budget (Option A)
Trial month: $200 for two midforms (8–15 minutes each)
→ $400/month for 4 midforms
If it’s a strong fit (quality + consistency), we increase to:
$250 for two midforms
Must-have experience
Proven podcast/talking-head YouTube edits (show examples)
Strong retention instincts (pacing, structure, pattern breaks)
Reliable turnaround + organized workflow
Comfortable receiving notes and iterating fast
