Premise’s mission is to help people get, stay, and be well. As a Full Time Registered Nurse, Occupational Health, you’ll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in Wichita, KS. The scheduled hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00am-4:00pm. For more information, visit
Key Responsibilities
- Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements (OSHA, DOT, CDC, etc.) and manages required physical evaluations.
- Evaluates, treats, and prioritizes patient care within the scope of practice.
- Delivers evidence-based care to injured workers, accelerates return to work, and coordinates case management with the TPA and client.
- Implements and monitors transitional duty programs for injured workers.
- Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision).
- Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice.
- Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date patient health records.
- Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care.
- Collaborates with healthcare professionals, company departments, and resources on health programs and injury prevention.
- Assists with accident investigations, return-to-work programs, and workplace safety initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of RN experience required in occupational health or related settings.
- Willingness to travel to other clinics in Wichita as needed.
- Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or Associate degree (A.S.) is required.
- Currently licensed Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
- Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC, or equivalent Basic Life Support for healthcare providers.
- At least three years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in an occupational health clinic, emergency room, or other ambulatory care setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Occupational Health experience is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree (BSN) from a four-year college or university is preferred.
- Certification in Occupational Health (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management is a plus, and may be required for some sites.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support training may also be required based on the contract scope of services.
