Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Flock Safety is the leading safety technology platform focused on proactive crime prevention and security. The Permitting Associate will support the Permitting Manager in coordinating the permitting application process, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery and proper permissions for product installations across the country.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the Permitting Support for 100+ projects with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery to permitting jurisdictions
- Manage unique permitting and product requirements to ensure customers receive proper permissions for installations across the country
- Demonstrate agility and innovative thinking to swiftly identify and implement creative solutions for various permitting challenges and obstacles
- Utilize data-driven approaches, leveraging performance dashboards and analytics to track and monitor project performance, making data-backed decisions and recommendations
Skills
- 1-2 years of experience in Permitting or Project Management
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships
- Experience working in a fast-paced and high throughput role that has direct impact on a team's performance
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations and make sound judgments
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, capable of prioritizing tasks, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and meeting deadlines
- Demonstrated leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and inspire your team, foster a positive work culture, and drive performance excellence
- Driven individual ready to 'do the work.'
- Proficient in Permitting processes and tools
- Know where to find information pertinent to permitting our products
- Able to answer basic questions about our products and installation process
- Solid foundation for success in your role
- Develop problem-solving skills to proactively identify issues and address challenges before they arise
- Comprehensive understanding of the different types of permits commonly required and how to fill those out
- Develop strong documentation management skills
- Own assigned permitting portfolio end to end in all assigned regions from start to finish
- Use data & metrics to set goals, track & report on performance and improvement
