Job Description

ORC is one of America’s most respected right-of-way acquisition firms, offering purpose, stability, and growth. The Utilities Right of Way Agent will acquire Right-of-Way rights for distribution and electrical transmission projects, support project teams, and conduct property research while communicating with property owners.

Responsibilities

Acquire Right-of-Way rights for distribution and electrical transmission projects in accordance with project guidelines and regulations
Support the Project Manager (PM) and project team members
Prepare real estate documents
Conduct basic property research for ownership and boundary information
Communicate with property owners and their representatives regarding right of way acquisition
Perform general administrative tasks

Skills

Minimum of one (1) year of Right of Way Acquisition experience
Active Missouri Notary OR the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
Active Missouri Real Estate License OR the ability to obtain prior to beginning work
Must be proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook
Must have an iOS or Android smartphone to be able to access ORC's systems
Valid Driver's License
Works efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines
Can prioritize and balance multiple tasks
Demonstrates strong organization and planning skills
Is analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to learn
Has excellent written and verbal communication skills
Thrives in a fast-paced administrative setting
Provides strong customer service experience
Can adapt to new systems and software environments
Experience working on electric transmission projects
Ability to research title online and in the courthouse to confirm ownership interests
