The Strategy Associate role offers significant ownership and exposure early in your career, where you will collaborate with senior leaders and business owners to develop strategies that enhance operations and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside senior consultants to develop and refine Compass Equity’s consulting playbook
- Contribute strategic insight to solve client challenges
- Conduct financial analysis, market research, and operational diagnostics
- Support consulting engagements for founder-led businesses in the lower middle market
- Build analytical models and presentation materials used to guide executive decision-making
- Participate in client meetings and contribute to strategic recommendations
- Help implement initiatives designed to increase enterprise value
Skills
- Have 12+ months of experience at either BCG, Bain, or McKinsey
- Possess strong analytical skills and high emotional intelligence
- Are comfortable working directly with founders and senior executives
- Demonstrate leadership ability and the capacity to operate with increasing autonomy
- Thrive in environments requiring adaptability across industries and workstreams
- Candidates with experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate strategy will receive special consideration
