Pitney Bowes is a leader in mailing and shipping solutions, and they are seeking a Field Service Technician to enhance client experiences and maintain essential operations. This role involves diagnosing and repairing hardware and software issues, installing and servicing equipment, and delivering exceptional customer service within a defined territory.
Responsibilities
- Delivering exceptional customer service that drives client satisfaction, retention, and trust
- Diagnoses, repair, and troubleshoot both hardware and software issues to reduce downtime and callbacks
- Install, service, and upgrade Pitney Bowes Shipping & Mailing equipment, ensuring clients are fully trained and confident in their use
- Manage a multiโzipโcode territory within 2.5 hours of Reno, Nevada, with up to 80% driving time
- Use hand tools and small power tools to perform repairs, maintenance, and installations
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment always
Skills
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US
- Employer will not sponsor position for employment visa status now or in the future (ex. H-1B)
- Enjoy working with and repairing mechanical or electrical components
- Are comfortable with significant driving time and working independently in the field
- Are motivated by the opportunity to earn additional income through service and parts sales
- Can lift 55+ lbs. and bend, squat, stoop, or stand for extended periods
- Have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation
- Are familiar with Windows, PCs, and basic networking
- Have experience with automated or electro-mechanical equipment
