Job Description

Siemens is a leading technology company focused on industry, infrastructure, mobility, and healthcare. They are seeking a recent graduate for the Financial Analyst position, which involves performing inventory management tasks, financial reporting, and supporting operational efficiency improvements.


Responsibilities

  • Perform cycle counts by generating count documents and posting inventory variances in the system
  • Review and process requests to rework inventory by converting one material into another, validating financial impact and ensuring proper documentation
  • Extract and compile productivity data from internal systems and tools to support operational and performance reporting
  • Submit freight-related invoices for timely payment
  • Perform detailed accounts payable analysis, including blocked invoice exception reporting, debit balance review, and EDI invoice rejections
  • Assist with the month-end close process by preparing journal entries and performing various balance sheet reconciliations within required deadlines
  • Prepare and deliver accurate and timely monthly financial reports
  • Assist Finance and RIC with specialized and ad hoc reporting, help maintain and improve internal controls through documentation and assessments, and support both internal and external audit initiatives
  • Support the identification and implementation of efficiency improvements, with a strong emphasis on digitalizing and automating processes and reporting
  • Special projects and ad hoc reports analysis as required
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Skills

  • New graduate from a university program in Accounting
  • Graduated from post-secondary within the last 12 months
  • Above average study performance (Accumulative average > 2.5 (B-)). Transcripts to be provided upon request
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical thinking and exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to identify discrepancies, interpret financial data, and support accurate reporting
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to summarize findings clearly and collaborate with cross‑functional teams
  • Proactive, curious, and self‑motivated mindset, with a willingness to learn new systems, investigate issues, and contribute to process improvements
  • Advanced Excel skills are preferred
  • Experience with Power BI, AI‑driven analytics, or UiPath automation is considered a strong asset
  • Familiarity with SAP is an asset
