As a Commercial Loan Servicing Specialist, you will perform various functions related to servicing non-complex commercial loans, ensuring accurate processing of requests and maintaining proper loan records.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and process collateral releases for commercial and commercial real estate loans while ensuring all controls are met prior to lien release
- Research and resolve loan-related issues and servicing requests, providing timely support to business lines
- You’ll communicate with internal partners regarding post‑booking matters, imaging, payoffs, reconveyances, and loan maintenance inquiries
- Process GL certifications, balancing, and invoice payments while monitoring and reconciling Loan Operations GL accounts and subsidiary ledgers
- Prepare and post journal entries to clear reconciling items and escalate issues within established timeframes
- Process payoff quotes and work closely with title and escrow companies to support timely loan closings
- Monitor and maintain collateral tickler systems to ensure proper loan collateral perfection
- Manage UCC reports to ensure lien filings are continued, amended, or terminated as required
- Review and submit CoreLogic tax reports to business lines for further processing
- Review flood and hazard insurance documentation to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
- You’ll follow all policies, procedures, security standards, and government regulations
Skills
- You have a high school diploma or GED (Required)
- An equivalent combination of education and experience can be considered in lieu of a degree
- You have entry‑level experience with commercial loan documents, preferably including commercial real estate (Required)
- You bring a working knowledge of collateral document administration, scanning, and indexing within an imaging system such as OnBase
- You stay organized, manage multiple priorities, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- You communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal interactions
- You thrive in a deadline‑driven environment with evolving priorities and a strong focus on teamwork and service
- You understand federal and state regulations related to loan servicing
- You are capable of lifting and moving objects up to 25 pounds as part of your role
