WSP is a leading professional services firm dedicated to shaping communities and advancing humanity. As a Project Financial Advisor, you will support the financial health of projects by providing clear financial information, tracking performance, and ensuring compliance with financial policies.
Responsibilities
- Support project managers by providing clear financial information to help guide day‑to‑day project decisions
- Assist in tracking project performance, including costs, forecasts (including EAC/ETC), and key financial indicators
- Help prepare financial summaries and reports for project and portfolio reviews
- Work with teams to build and update project budgets, cost estimates, and billing‑related data and WIP/AR management
- Ensure compliance with key financial policies including revenue recognition, accruals, work‑at‑risk, and write‑offs
- Provide financial input for bids and proposals to support informed commercial decisions
- Help teams understand the financial impacts of changes throughout the project lifecycle
Skills
- Experience supporting financial activities within projects or business operations
- A post‑secondary education in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
- Comfort working with financial data, including basic forecasting and variance analysis
- Strong Excel skills (e.g., formulas, lookups, pivot tables) and ease working in Microsoft Office tools
- An interest in learning project financial processes and building your advisory skills
- A collaborative approach, with sound judgment and attention to detail
