Job Description
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. One80 Intermediaries is part of a global insurance distribution platform, and they are seeking a Disability Review Specialist responsible for proactively calling and renewing disability policyholders. The role includes making coverage recommendations and cross-selling additional products to meet sales targets and enhance customer retention efforts.
Responsibilities
- Proactively places outbound calls to existing customers with disability policies within specified timeframe
- Maximizes opportunities to upgrade the customer’s existing disability policy and cross-sell additional products to achieve sales goals
- Reviews the customer’s current coverage and makes recommendations for the future
- Responsible for meeting individual sales and quality of business targets
- Reviews and analyzes sales reports and other data to monitor progress towards stated goals
- Provides input to management to help identify opportunities to improve sales
- Responds to customer inquiries and resolves problems professionally, accurately and on a timely basis
- Refers questions to an appropriate resource if unable to resolve problem
- Follows up regarding pending or incomplete sales transactions as needed
- Participates in business retention activities as directed by management
- Keeps customers informed about available products and services, pricing, and new insurance products and/or promotions
- Generates periodic reports for manager summarizing results
- Maintains insurance product knowledge and strives to improve selling techniques
Skills
- Associate degree in business, marketing or related field
- 1+ year of sales/customer service experience, preferably in the insurance industry
- Basic PC skills required, including Excel, Word, and Adobe software
- Prior phone and email communication experience
- NYS Life and Health insurance license is required for this position
- CRM tool experience
