The Marketing Service Representative role involves supporting Sales or Account Management personnel in prospecting and renewing business, cultivating relationships with clients and brokers, and responding to inquiries from various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Supporting Sales or Account Management personnel to assist in prospecting, acquiring or renewing business
- Cultivating relationships with clients and brokers, as well as internal partners, and service accounts to expand the business and meet corporate and divisional sales/renewal objectives
- Researching inquiries received from employer groups, brokers, or vendors
- Receiving, tracking, and responding to client or stakeholder inquiries, ensuring timely response and accurate information
- Completing annual contracts and handling renewing business
- Collaborating with cross functional teams/internal stakeholders to coordinate internal projects
- There may be some travel in this role, including off-site client visits
Skills
- Bachelor Degree and 1 year of experience in health insurance/health care field in a service/sales/marketing position involving initiative and decision-making
- OR 5 years of experience in health care management in a marketing service representative role
- OR 5 years of experience in sales/marketing or health care management/claims/provider service experience involving processing or coordination of services for health care clients
- State Insurance License(s) or obtain State Insurance License(s) within required time frame per state regulations
- Organizational and decision-making skills
- Written and verbal communications skills including telephone skills
- Ability to interact professionally with both internal and external contacts
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access
