Job Description
CGI is seeking a high‑potential Junior SAP S/4HANA Functional Consultant to work closely with clients in understanding their requirements and implementing solutions. The role focuses on design, configuration, and testing in SAP S/4HANA Public Sector, particularly for the federal government.
Responsibilities
- Participate as part of a team in gathering and validating requirements, designing solutions, implementing, and supporting SAP Financials
- Enhance the client’s business functionality and overall performance while maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction
- Help facilitate workshops to review business requirements and translate them into system requirements, with the ability to identify gaps, issues, and work‑around solutions
- Act as a liaison with the client for troubleshooting: investigate, analyze, and solve software problems; map client business requirements, processes, and objectives; and develop necessary product modifications to meet client needs
- Design, configure, and test FI, CO, FM/GL, SD, MM, and/or AA modules, including unit testing, system testing, and supporting clients through User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Participate in the successful implementation of SAP S/4HANA, providing functional guidance, presentations, and instruction on SAP products to clients
Skills
- U.S. citizenship and successful completion of a CGI background check are required prior to beginning work
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD/Public Trust clearance
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- Up to 3 years of SAP consulting experience, ideally supporting financial implementations
- Experience with financial management best practices, including demos and test scripts
- Knowledge of key integration points between SAP modules
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including teamwork and facilitation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present and discuss strategies and technical information in a manner that builds rapport and supports understanding among both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to analyze problems and provide clear recommendations
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience with SAP ECC or S/4HANA for the federal government
- Experience in integration, configuration, and implementation of SAP application areas such as Sales and Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), Financial/Cost Accounting (FICO), and/or Funds Management (FM)
