Job Description

Fortitude Reinsurance Company Ltd. is a leading provider of legacy reinsurance solutions, serving prominent insurance companies. The Associate, Actuarial Applications will support technology initiatives by optimizing applications across Actuarial teams and implementing cloud-based solutions.

Responsibilities

Implement strategic and tactical initiatives related to, Python development, cloud computing (AWS and Azure), and applications development
Operate in an agile development environment, applying DevOps principles
Understand current state data pipelines/processes and contribute to future state optimization
Ingest and analyze new/existing data sets and implement end-to-end processing
Test and debug applications

Skills

Bachelor's degree in Math, Computer Science, Engineering or similar field
Minimum experience of one year in programming (Python, Julia and/or R) and SQL
Experience in building cloud-based data solutions in AWS
Ability to collaborate on projects and work independently when required
Excellent analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Domain knowledge of insurance or reinsurance
Experience with dashboarding systems (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
Prior knowledge and experience in the fintech, investment banking or insurance industry
