Job Description
Seyfarth Shaw LLP is a leading law firm that values its people and invests in their professional development. The Recruiting Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative support within the recruitment department, focusing on candidate sourcing, screening, and onboarding activities to help achieve the firm's recruitment goals.
Responsibilities
- Maintains the applicant tracking system, including opening and closing positions, scheduling interviews, updating candidate records, etc
- Posts positions on a variety of sites such as social media, associations, universities, veteran and disability organizations, etc
- Generates fee agreements and maintain relationships with search firms/external vendors
- Supports onboarding activities for new hires, including creating offer letters, background screenings, verification of new hire documents while ensuring a positive onboarding experience
- Updates and maintains the Firm’s internal staff recruiting site
- Prepares and updates job postings
- Assesses and conducts candidate outreach and recruitment efforts. Assists with candidate sourcing and screening
- Performs other tasks and projects as needed
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience
- 0-1 year of experience in recruiting, preferably in a law firm or related service industry
- Knowledge of Workday, iCIMS or a similar applicant tracking system
- Strong interpersonal, analytical and business acumen skill; ability to multi-task, prioritize and maintain confidentiality
- Knowledge of relevant firm computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software and operating systems
- Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Demonstrates close attention to detail
- Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to handle multiple assignments and shifting priorities
- Ability to organize and prioritize work
- Ability to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team
- Demonstrates a commitment to quality of finished product
- Ability to problem solve
