Job Description

Fitch Ratings is one of the world’s top three credit ratings agencies, playing a critical role in global capital markets. They are seeking an Analyst or Senior Analyst to support the publication of Transition and Default Studies, conduct data analysis, and collaborate with teams to enhance the quality and transparency of credit ratings criteria.


Responsibilities

  • Support the publication of Transition and Default Studies and create bespoke reports to meet Fitch’s global regulatory compliance requirements
  • Review and analyze historical ratings transition data across multiple sectors to identify key trends and insights
  • Conduct data analysis to produce targeted ratings performance reports for analytical teams and senior management
  • Collaborate with analysts and cross-functional teams to contribute to external research and publications across all sectors
  • Automate report generation and work processes to enhance efficiency
  • Respond to external queries regarding Fitch’s historical ratings data and recent ratings performance publications

Skills

  • 1–5 years of experience in credit rating analysis, quantitative analysis, or a related financial field
  • Strong understanding of finance, accounting, economics, and/or capital markets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Proven analytical abilities and proficiency in Excel and programming
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced, data-driven environment
  • Prior experience in research and publication
  • Proficiency in Python, VBA, and SQL
  • Strong quantitative and statistical analysis skills
