Job Description

Manulife is a leading international financial services provider, and they are seeking a Data and Reporting Analyst to join their Reporting and Analytics team. The role involves developing and maintaining dashboards in Power BI, performing data modeling and analysis, and managing access controls while contributing to innovative reporting solutions for the organization.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI to visualize operational performance and key metrics
  • Perform data modeling, transformation, and analysis across multiple datasets to build insight‑driven dashboards that support decision‑making
  • Build skills in Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Copilot Studio) and SQL, with opportunities to learn additional tools and technologies (Azure, Python, C#, etc.)
  • Manage permissions and access controls across Power BI workspaces and SharePoint sites in alignment with least‑privilege and audit requirements
  • Document solution requirements and present recommendations in a clear and concise manner

Skills

  • 1–2 years of experience in business intelligence, reporting, or data modeling
  • Proficiency in Power BI for dashboard development and visualization
  • Exposure to SQL or similar programming/scripting languages
  • Basic understanding of the Microsoft Power Platform and Microsoft 365 suite, with a willingness to continue developing these skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and consistency
  • Exposure to cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, Databricks) is an asset
  • Familiarity with data governance principles and best practices
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and eager to learn
  • Understanding financial services or wealth and asset management is an asset
