Job Description
The Epic Healthy Planet Analyst is responsible for the design, build, testing, implementation, and ongoing support of the Epic Healthy Planet population health platform with a focus on Behavioral Health programs and initiatives. This role works closely with clinical leaders, behavioral health stakeholders, population health teams, and IT to support value-based care initiatives, registries, quality metrics, and analytics for behavioral health populations.
- The analyst will support the configuration and optimization of Healthy Planet tools including registries, reporting workbench reports, dashboards, care gap tracking, and outreach workflows to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency in behavioral health services.Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and implement Epic Healthy Planet functionality supporting Behavioral Health populations.
- Develop and maintain patient registries, cohorts, and care gap tracking related to behavioral health conditions (e.g., depression, anxiety, substance use disorders).
- Build and maintain Reporting Workbench reports, dashboards, and metrics to support behavioral health quality initiatives.
- Collaborate with clinical stakeholders, behavioral health leadership, and operational teams to gather requirements and translate them into Epic solutions.
- Support population health programs, risk stratification, and outreach workflows for behavioral health care management.
- Participate in system testing, integrated testing, and user acceptance testing for deployments and upgrades.
- Assist with data validation, troubleshooting, and optimization of Healthy Planet workflows.
- Support value-based care initiatives and quality reporting including regulatory or payer programs.
- Provide production support, issue resolution, and system enhancements post-deployment.
- Develop documentation, training materials, and workflow diagrams for system changes.
- Certification Requirements
- Epic Healthy Planet Certification
- Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare IT, Information Systems, Public Health, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Epic Healthy Planet Certification (or ability to obtain certification within required timeframe).
- 5+ years of experience as an Epic analyst or population health analyst.
- Experience with Epic Reporting Workbench, registries, dashboards, and population health tools.
- Experience supporting clinical workflows and healthcare operations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience working in healthcare IT implementations or deployments.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Behavioral Health or Psychiatry workflows.
- Experience with Epic Behavioral Health modules. Experience with value-based care programs, quality metrics (HEDIS), or risk stratification models.
- Knowledge of Clarity or Caboodle data models.
- Experience with population health management or care management programs.
- Previous experience in an Epic implementation or large-scale deployment.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $130,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
