Job Description
For our client, we are seeking a Director Insurance And Risk Management to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space. You’ll play a key role delivering outcomes for customers and stakeholders in the Aerospace & Defense space. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally and take ownership of priorities. This role offers visibility, growth, and impact.
Location: Remote – US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.
Compensation: $185,000 – $205,000 annually.
- Responsibilities
- Develop and manage global insurance programs, including renewals and broker engagement
- Analyze risk exposure and recommend insurance coverage and risk strategies
- Lead complex claims management and coordinate with Legal and external counsel
- Support M&A and contract negotiations, identifying insurance implications and protections
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual risk transfer requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on risk-related initiatives
- Serve as a deputy to the Senior Director and mentor the risk management team
- Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (JD, MBA) or professional designation (ARM, CPCU, CRM) preferred
- 15+ years of progressive experience in corporate risk management or insurance, including leadership roles; 13+ years with a Masters degree
- Experience with publicly traded companies in the government contracting or defense sectors
- Deep knowledge of insurance products, risk financing, claims management, and enterprise risk practices
- Experience working for a large, multinational government contractor with knowledge of U.S. Government FAR Clauses
