Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. RemoteHunter is an integrated ophthalmic provider group delivering eye care services across multiple states. The Remote Patient Contact Center Specialist enhances patient experience by providing professional customer service and managing patient communications through calls while ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
Responsibilities
- Handle a high volume of inbound patient calls professionally and positively
- Provide accurate information and respond to inquiries, including promotional details when applicable
- Forward customer requests to appropriate departments
- Maintain accurate and timely records in patient contact and electronic medical records systems
- Document call information following standard procedures
- Ensure patient privacy in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Develop and maintain knowledge of procedures, protocols, and office guidelines
- Conduct outbound calls as requested
Skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills
- Prior experience in call center or customer service environments
- Proficiency with computer applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Suite
- Knowledge of customer service principles, call center technology, and clerical processes
- Strong organizational skills and sound decision-making ability
- Ability to remain calm under stress and provide excellent customer service
- Residency in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, or Massachusetts
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Degree in communications or related field
