They are seeking a Frontend Software Engineer to own the front-end development of their products, collaborate with designers and product managers, and implement cutting-edge technologies to enhance user experience.


Responsibilities

  • You will own the front-end development for one or more of our products and collaborate with visual/interaction designers, other engineers, and product managers to launch new products, iterate on existing features, and build a world-class user experience
  • You will implement cutting-edge technologies and will be writing state-of-the-art code to keep LinkedIn at the cutting edge of current technology
  • Your specific expertise will be required to make the site delightful, secure, performant, and accessible to all our members

Skills

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience
  • 1+ years of industry experience in software design, development, and algorithm related solutions
  • Experience programming in languages such as Javascript, HTML, CSS, Python, Java, etc
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • MS or PhD in Computer Science or related technical discipline
  • Experience writing clean JavaScript including experience with modern frameworks (Angular/Ember/React) and debugging tools (Chrome Dev Tools, etc.)
  • Expert-level knowledge of Ember
  • Knowledge of (and a passion for) current trends and best practices in front-end architecture, including performance, accessibility, security and usability
  • Prior experience building public API's with Java
  • Experience building large-scale consumer facing products
