Alera Group is one of the largest insurance brokers in the U.S., and they are seeking a Personal Lines Account Manager to join their growing team. This role involves managing a commercial lines book of business, serving as a primary contact for clients, and collaborating with internal teams to support client needs.
Responsibilities
- Manage and service a commercial lines book of business (small-to-mid market accounts)
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing coverage questions and resolving issues
- Support renewals, policy changes, and ongoing account needs
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Review contracts and coverage details to identify potential risks and recommend solutions
- Manage multiple priorities while meeting service timelines and expectations
- Partner with producers and internal teams to support client needs
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling and additional lines of business
- Participate in training and ongoing professional development
Skills
- Strong customer service and relationship management skills
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail
- Sense of urgency and accountability
- Insurance experience or exposure to commercial lines
- Active Property & Casualty license (or willingness to obtain)
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS)
