Job Description
Pernini Legal LLC is a national leader in commercial title and escrow services, seeking a Commercial Title Officer to manage complex commercial real estate transactions. The role involves coordinating, underwriting, and clearing title for transactions across multiple jurisdictions, with significant responsibility and direct interaction with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate national commercial real estate transactions from title commitment through closing
- Analyze title comments, objection letters, and underwriting issues
- Review title and survey comments and respond to underwriting requests
- Prepare pro forma title policies, endorsements, affidavits, escrow agreements, and related documentation
- Prepare pricing quotes for title policies and endorsements
- Assist with transaction closings by assembling and reviewing closing documents and analyzing closing instruction letters
- Communicate directly with clients, lenders, attorneys, and third parties to obtain documentation and drive timely resolution of title issues
Skills
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- Teachable attitude, positive demeanor, adaptability, and ability to thrive and maintain focus under pressure
- Demonstrable ability to multitask, manage multiple high-liability, single-site and multi-site national commercial real estate transactions
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple transactions and meet deadlines
- Exceptional attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to produce accurate, error-free work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the professionalism to interact with elite legal, financial, and real estate professionals nationwide
- 1–3 years of substantive experience in commercial real estate transactions
- Knowledge of title insurance principles, escrow/settlement procedures, and title fulfillment processes
