Associate Digital Developer

The Associate Digital Developer will be responsible for transforming 3D footwear designs into prototypes, operating 3D printing equipment, and collaborating with designers and engineers to ensure high-quality outputs.

Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, and operate 3D printers to achieve optimal print quality and consistency
• Convert and prepare CAD files for 3D printing, including slicing, support generation, and print parameter optimization
• Inspect and measure printed components for accuracy and surface quality; adjust printer settings or processes as needed
• Select, load, and manage printing materials and inventory; coordinate orders to ensure uninterrupted production
• Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure printer reliability and minimize downtime
• Clean, sand, assemble, or otherwise finish printed parts to meet design and aesthetic requirements
• Construct and assemble prototypes, ensuring precise alignment, functionality, and design integrity
• Maintain organized records of print jobs, materials used, and process settings for future reference and process improvement
• Partner with engineers, designers, and R&D teams to prototype new products and refine designs
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance print speed, consistency, and quality

Skills

• Proficiency with slicing software (e.g., Cura, Bambu Studio, Orca Slicer, Prusa Slicer)
• Experience with CAD or 3D modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Rhino, Blender)
• Ability to work safely around machinery and tools
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to manage numerous projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Enthusiasm for innovation, continuous learning, and process improvement
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent hands-on experience preferred
• 1–2+ years of experience with FDM 3D printing (personal or professional)
