Job Description

As an insurance defense attorney within the bodily injury unit, you will provide legal representation in litigation, prepare legal documents, negotiate settlements, and analyze claims to ensure favorable outcomes for clients.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal representation to Progressive insureds and/or to the Progressive Insurance Companies before courts and arbitration panels in all aspects of litigation
- Handle cases from beginning to end
- Prepare legal pleadings, motions, statements, trial briefs and be involved in negotiating settlements
- Work closely with clients and claims partners to prepare timely reports on litigation
- Ensure all appropriate defenses are leveraged to reach positive outcomes
- Analyze written discovery, depositions, medical records and assess the value of claims to determine risk exposure
Skills
- Juris doctor degree or Master of Laws (LLM)
- Admitted to practice law in the state of Florida
