Schedule: PRN Shift: Day (United States of America) Address: 301 MEMORIAL MEDICAL PKWY City: DAYTONA BEACH State: Florida Postal Code: 32117 Job Description: Provides frontline leadership and direct supervision to all staff on shift. Assumes management responsibilities in the absence of Respiratory leadership. Supports management decisions in a positive, professional manner. Supervises the delivery of cardiopulmonary care in accordance with applicable policy and procedure. Monitors patient progress to ensure effective therapist assessment and reassessment. Recommends changes in respiratory care plans based on documented medical necessity and established protocols. Prioritizes tasks, communicates priorities, and delegates duties accordingly. Monitors staff productivity and maintains appropriate shift coverage. Assigns workload fairly and equitably, ensuring completion of work by shift’s end. Serves as a resource to staff, providing training and instruction. Assesses orientation and competency progress, supervising student and staff preceptor programs. Delivers and assists with emergent and routine respiratory therapy, ensuring operational efficiency in diagnostic areas. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Computer skills such as Word. [Required] • Patient care skills to care for neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations. [Required] • PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio proficiency [Preferred] • Must demonstrate exceptional clinical skills and strong leadership qualities [Preferred] Education: • Associate'sin Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science [Required] • Bachelor's [Preferred] Field of Study: • N/A Work Experience: • 3+ years experience in a hospital as a RRT [Required] • 1+ years in critical care [Required] Additional Information: • Additional licensure or certification requirements may apply depending on the specific unit or state in which this position is located.
