Where You Will Work
Our global headquarters is in Phoenix, Arizona. Several hundred employees support global operations in finance, human resources, information technology, planning and more from the main office, satellite offices or online. As a Hybrid employee, you'll engage in virtual collaboration as well as attend in-person meetings at our Collaboration Hub in Phoenix or at one of our site locations. The Collaboration Hub provides an open, flexible workspace for individuals and teams to come together for various business needs. Amenities at the Hub include a working café, phone booths and meeting rooms with technology tools for virtual and in-person collaboration. In-person attendance may vary based on the position and department requirements.

What You Will Do
Under general supervision, you provide engineering technical expertise, guidance, and leadership for environmental water projects and programs as assigned. You serve as a project manager or technical expert on complex environmental projects; conceptualize and support planning for potential projects; prepare scopes of work and Requests For Proposal; evaluate consultant submittals; recommend consultant selection; oversee consultant work; edit work products; and manage budgets. You oversee development of flow and transport modeling scenarios for permitting, regulatory demonstrations, and agency review; facilitate data collection, management, integration, analysis, output, and presentation using EQuIS database and visualization systems; perform hydrogeologic assessments and oversee groundwater and surface water investigations; review and recommend actions for facility expansions, modifications, or closures affecting environmental discharges, emissions, and hazardous materials; maintain and prepare records and reports; present technical evaluations and plans; provide leadership to engineers and technicians; determine and assess environmental risk and develop regulatory documentation; maintain current knowledge of applicable regulations (e.g., CERCLA, NEPA, SARA, Clean Air and Water Acts); and perform other duties as required.
What You Bring To Freeport
Bachelor's degree in engineering (environmental, civil, chemical, agriculture, mining, metallurgical, geological or similar) AND 5 years of engineering experience in environmental management including project management experience
OR
Master's degree in engineering or related field AND 3 years of engineering experience in environmental management including project management experience
Knowledge of environmental compliance, permitting, incident investigation, and reporting protocols
Ability to research and analyze complex information and draw valid conclusions
Skilled in managing large and complex environmental projects
Ability to evaluate and implement new methods and techniques for operational improvement
Ability to analyze a wide range of soil, water, and air samples to recognize potential environmental hazards
Ability to maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Additional certification or licensure appropriate to the job may be required or preferred: HAZWOPER, Method 9, DOT, EMS Auditor, Asbestos, Water Treatment Operator, CHMM.
Preferred Qualifications
Work independently and with multidisciplinary teams to meet project objectives
Experience with data analysis, databases such as EQuIS, and data validation
Experience in water permitting and compliance in Arizona, Colorado, or New Mexico
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
What We Offer You
The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $95,000-$134,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
