Qualifications Responsible for performing sterilization procedures on medical instruments and equipment in accordance established procedures, infection control standards, industry standards, recommended practices on sterilization and regulatory requirements. Essential Functions Reprocesses instruments required for patient care. Resets instrument sets without error. Decontaminates instruments and equipment according to procedure. Maintain Central Sterile Department stock levels. Prepares and assembles surgical tray and equipment following established tray listings for issue, storage, or further processing. Communicates instrument repair needs to supervisor. Required for All Jobs Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all policies and standards Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Certified Registered Central Service Technician [CRCST] - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) required within first year of employment. Experience related experience 1-2 years preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - attention to detail. - ability to follow dept processes and procedures in alignment with regulatory standards and guidelines. - ability to work in a fast-paced environment built on a foundation of teamwork.
