Regulatory Consultant – Healthcare, Wellness & Fintech Startups (Ontario / BC / Quebec)

A core part of what we do is helping clients build the operational and compliance foundations they need to operate legally, attract investors, and scale with confidence.
• *The Role**

We are looking for a Canadian regulatory consultant with hands-on experience navigating the compliance landscape for startups and new businesses — specifically in healthcare, wellness, and/or fintech. You will be brought in on client engagements to act as the regulatory subject matter expert.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting a full regulatory needs assessment for each client — identifying all applicable permits, licences, registrations, approvals, insurance requirements, and compliance regimes at the federal, provincial, and municipal level

• Working directly with the client (or alongside our team) to pursue and attain those regulatory requirements through to completion

• Advising on ongoing compliance obligations relevant to the client's industry and business model

Industries:

• Healthcare (clinics, diagnostics, health tech)

• Wellness (spas, medspas, mental health, fitness)

• Fintech (lending, payments, investment platforms)

What We're Looking For:

• Based in Canada — Ontario preferred

• Demonstrated, hands-on experience with regulatory compliance in Ontario, British Columbia, and/or Quebec

• Direct familiarity with at least one of the industries listed above

• Ability to communicate regulatory requirements clearly to non-legal founders

• Available for per-project engagements, with potential for ongoing retainer work
