Job Description
Public Relations Account Manager (Contract, Part-Time, Remote | UPLVL Agency)
At UPLVL Agency, the Account Manager is the engine of our client campaigns. They’re the person who reads the news at 7am and immediately thinks "that's our angle." You won't be waiting for direction. You'll be the one giving it. If you're a seasoned PR pro who's energized by securing meaningful media for founders who are genuinely changing lives, and you want to do it inside a high-caliber, tight-knit team of A-players, this role is for you.
About UPLVL Agency
UPLVL Agency is a boutique public relations firm working with founder-led, service-based companies in health, wellness, lifestyle, business, and finance. Our clients are credentialed experts and CEOs who want meaningful visibility in credible media — from national television to top-tier podcasts and respected digital and print publications.
Founded by Kayley Hamilton, a two-time Emmy Award–winning journalist and former entertainment news reporter, UPLVL operates with newsroom standards: strong judgment, fast execution, clear communication, and accountability for results. We've been featured in Forbes and Business Insider, and we're building an intentional roster of high-caliber clients.
Our ethos is: kindness, optimism, growth mindset, proactivity, and elite results. We run on positive energy and a supportive team. We hold Monday morning connection calls (group meditation included). We believe the best work comes from people who are genuinely excited about what they do, who take ownership without being told to, and who lead with integrity in every interaction.
If that sounds like you, keep reading.
The Role
This is an individual-contributor position with full account ownership. You'll manage 2–5 founder-brand PR campaigns end-to-end, including strategy, pitching, media relationships, interview coordination, client communication, and results. Each account is approximately 5–8 hours per week, and you are responsible for keeping campaigns moving forward.
You'll collaborate with leadership on positioning and big-picture direction, but you're trusted to operate independently day to day. This starts as part-time and contract, with a clear path to full-time as the agency grows.
- What You'll Do
- Lead client onboarding conversations and extract the angles, stories, and expertise that will resonate with media
- Build six-month PR strategies balancing timely newsjacking opportunities with longer-lead placements
- Pitch consistently — podcasts, digital and print publications, and broadcast — using your own media relationships, not just databases
- Monitor the news cycle daily and move fast when a moment is right for your clients
- Track journalist queries, respond quickly, and coach clients through the process
- Prepare clients for interviews with clear context and expectations so they show up confidently
- Deliver polished monthly progress reports and present them to clients via video call
- Keep all campaigns organized, proactive, and moving forward in ClickUp, Slack and Propel My PR
- Who You Are
- You have 4–6+ years of PR agency experience with direct responsibility for pitching and securing coverage
- You've landed earned media across top-tier podcasts, digital/print publications, and broadcast TV (with examples!)
- You understand how the news cycle works and you’re a master newsjacker
- You're an exceptional writer: pitches, bios, strategies, and client communications are all in your wheelhouse
- You're organized, responsive, and consistent. Clients and media contacts trust you because you follow through
- You pay keen attention to detail. To demonstrate this, please share the name of your favorite podcast when you apply for this role
- You're confident being the primary point of contact and presenting your work on video calls
- You're a fast learner, a quick thinker, and you bring optimism and energy to the team
- Daily use of AI tools (ChatGPT or similar) is a genuine plus. We embrace AI in our workflows
- Familiarity with Propel My PR, ClickUp, Slack, Qwoted, Google Workspace, and Canva is a bonus
- What We Offer
- Part-time, fully remote, contract position with flexible hours
- Path to full-time as the agency grows
- A female-led team that is warm, high-standards, and genuinely supportive
- A culture where good work is seen, valued, and rewarded
How to Apply
To apply, please email [email protected] and include: your resume, your LinkedIn profile, a short list of recent media coverage you’ve secured (publications, podcasts, TV), and a note on why you’re a strong fit for this role.
