Empire State University seeks candidates for a two-year Visiting Assistant Professor position in Psychology and Human Development through the Promoting Recruitment, Opportunity, Diversity, Inclusion and Growth plus (PRODiG+) Fellowship program. The role involves developing and teaching online courses, mentoring students, and participating in curriculum development and academic assessment initiatives. Responsibilities Develop and teach online courses such as:Introduction to PsychologyAbnormal PsychologySocial PsychologyOther courses in Psychology and Human Development as aligned with departmental needs Mentor students throughout their degree program journey Participate in curriculum/program development and academic assessment initiatives Engage in university service activities Maintain an active research agenda Skills Eligibility to work in the United States without visa sponsorship PhD or relevant terminal degree in Counseling/Clinical Psychology or closely related discipline from an accredited institution (completed prior to start date) Eligible candidates must demonstrate personal, academic, and/or work experience engaging with diversity, equity, and inclusion and/or a commitment to facilitating and enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in the campus community.
