SCI Lease Corp is seeking a Pre-Legal Specialist to assist various departments with administrative and investigative functions related to legal matters. This role serves as a bridge between the legal and servicing departments, providing ongoing legal admin support and preparing necessary documentation for legal review. Responsibilities Provide ongoing legal admin support to various teams on a day-to-day basis Help review accounts recommended for legal assignment Prepare summaries and gather necessary documents and artifacts for legal review Prepare and send all legal and pre-legal letters and invoices for the servicing departments Work with the Legal department to draft ad hoc communications to support the servicing teams Review and process Bankruptcy, Consumer Proposal and Receivership files Maintain files that are assigned to the legal department to keep the servicing departments up to date (account status updates, follow-ups with legal, applying settlement proceeds, generating ad hoc invoices, terminating accounts) Other duties as assigned Skills Detail oriented, organized, flexible and able to multi-task (this role requires handling a broad range of task types) Self-starter capable of working independently or in a group setting Great with numbers and identifying basic accounting errors Superior oral and written skills Fundamental computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PDF writer Excellent grasp of phone and email etiquette Ability to build and maintain relationships Ability to develop and execute new ideas Previous experience as a Legal administrative assistant Post-secondary education in a related field 1-2 years of experience in a legal environment Bilingual (French/English) considered an asset Automotive or Finance industry experience an asset Company Overview SCI Lease Corp is a financial service company.
