Job Description

SITY Stars Academy is seeking an energetic and motivated Jump Rope Coach to lead students in skill-based, fitness-focused jump rope training. The ideal candidate has a passion for working with youth, strong leadership abilities, and experience in physical education, jump rope, or related movement arts (dance, cheer, tumbling, fitness).


This is a contract position providing after-school or in-school programming designed to help students build confidence, coordination, teamwork, and a lifelong love of movement.

WHAT IS SITY Stars Academy?: SITY Stars Academy is a youth Jump Rope development company. Our program offers a high-energy, fun, age-appropriate introduction to the wonderful sport of jump rope. Our innovative curriculum emphasizes both jump rope skills and character development. Our goal is simple: to leave a lasting, positive impact on every child we serve.


THE JOB: Looking for part-time work where you can make a positive impact in your community? Become a Jump Rope Coach! SITY Stars Academy blends jump rope, education, and fun into high-energy 60-minute sessions to kids ages 4-12 throughout the DC/MD area. You'll laugh. You'll break a sweat. And you'll go home at the end of the day knowing that you made a difference. Coaching children will be one of most rewarding things you ever do.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prior experience in physical education, coaching, or youth fitness (required).


  • Strong communication and classroom/group management skills.
  • Ability to work with students of varying ages and skill levels.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Must pass a background check prior to engagement.
  • Dependable, professional, and enthusiastic about youth development.
  • Passion for positively impacting childrens lives through the love of sports and fitness
  • Prior experience working with children
  • Valid drivers license and access to personal vehicle that is insured
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

CONTRACT DETAILS:




  • Independent contractor position (not employment).




  • Schedule and program length may vary by school/season.




  • Contractor is responsible for personal tax obligations and maintaining necessary certifications/insurance.
