Nordstrom is a leading fashion retailer, and they are seeking an Assistant Technical Designer to join their Technical Design team. The role involves assisting in the creation of Nordstrom Brand products, ensuring they meet design and fit intent while supporting the technical design process throughout development and production. Responsibilities Assist Technical Design Team to develop clear, concise Tech Packs to include measurement worksheet and construction images to align with Design intent and Brand DNA Assist in evaluating samples to ensure product specifications, quality and construction standards are executed Measure samples Support Technical Design Team and participate in fit sessions as needed Support Technical Design Team to meet calendar milestones and due dates Support internal teams to maintain sample organization throughout development and production lifecycle Assist in special projects as directed Skills Bachelor's Degree in Apparel Design, Apparel Manufacturing, Pattern Making or equivalent industry experience 1+ years of experience in Technical Design, preferably within Women's apparel Organization and time management skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively Strong interpersonal skills, including clear, effective written and verbal communication Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite – Illustrator, Photoshop Exposure to Product Lifecycle Management Software Exposure to 3D apparel development preferred – Browzwear, CLO, Optitex Exposure to 2D pattern software preferred – Gerber Accumark, Optitex Benefits Medical/Vision, Dental, Retirement and Paid Time Away Life Insurance and Disability Merchandise Discount and EAP Resources 401k Medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options PTO accruals Holidays Company Overview Nordstrom is an online fashion retailer that specializes in fashion, footwear, accessories, and beauty.
