ICF is a global advisory and technology services provider, and they are seeking a Junior Software Engineer (Web Developer/Programmer) to support the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality websites and web applications. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver accessible and standards-compliant web solutions, particularly for federal government projects. Responsibilities Develop and code responsive web pages in collaboration with a cross-functional team, following established best practices Implement modern front-end solutions with a strong focus on accessibility, usability, and performance Consume and integrate data from APIs, XML, RSS feeds, and other syndicated content sources Apply and maintain compliance with NLM procedures, federal web standards, and industry best practices Ensure all web deliverables meet Section 508 and WCAG 2.x accessibility requirements Support updates, enhancements, and troubleshooting for existing federal web properties Skills 1+ year of professional or educational experience in: HTML / HTML5 1+ year of professional or educational experience in: CSS / CSS3 1+ year of professional or educational experience in: JavaScript 1+ year of professional or educational working with APIs, XML, RSS, and similar technologies to syndicate and manage content U.S. citizenship required Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust/security clearance, as required by the federal government for this role Familiarity with the U.S. Web Design System (USWDS) and its implementation in web projects Understanding of federal accessibility standards, including Section 508 and WCAG 2.x Working knowledge of current tools and technologies used for web mockups, design, and development Experience supporting or contributing to federal government website design or development Exposure to agile or team‑based development environments Familiarity with basic UX/UI principles and accessibility testing tools Company Overview ICF is a global consulting and technology services provider focused on making big things possible for our clients.
