Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. SoftServe Robotics Group is seeking a Robotics Architect with a focus in space robotics and simulation. The role involves designing and developing solutions for various space robots and testing robotics solutions both in simulation and in the real world. Responsibilities β’ Designing and developing solutions for different kinds of space robots (mobile robots, robotic arms, drones) β’ Building multiple rapid prototypes as well as production-ready solutions β’ Testing robotics solutions both in simulation and in the real world β’ Designing automated robotic systems used to increase the production and precision levels within a specific industry β’ The scope of activities might not be limited to space domain only β’ Performing regular research of the latest trends and modern approaches in the robotics domain (navigation, sensing, decision making, performance of robotic mechanism components or systems, etc.) β’ Taking part in pre-sales activities Skills β’ Experienced in architecture and development of application software for flight and ground systems β’ Involved in technical pre-sales activities (presentations, workshops, etc.), C-level presentation skills β’ Directly experienced writing satellite or spacecraft software β’ Experienced in simulation and automation of manufacturing processes such as manufacturing of rockets and rocket components, such as engines, etc β’ Experienced in verification, validation, and integration of flight software β’ Feeling at home programming in C/C++ and Python for embedded Linux systems β’ Experienced in working from requirements to space qualified products being launched into space β’ A person with hands-on, can-do attitude, team player, great interpersonal skills, and ability to collaborate effectively β’ Highly attentive to details with strong analytical skills, mathematical foundation and a problem-solving attitude β’ A technology enthusiast who enjoys expanding the knowledge and share it with others β’ A MSc or Ph.D related to or supporting the industry segment β’ US citizen or Green card holder β’ Having Upper-intermediate English level (both spoken and written) β’ Knowledgeable of the space environment and its impact on on-board computational hardware and software architecture β’ Involved in design, develop and validate spacecraft flight software, ground software, and simulation software β’ Familiar with commonly used protocols and standards for spacecraft communications, such as CCSDS, CAN, Spacewire β’ Experienced in implementing real-time systems and software solutions on spacecraft missions β’ Experienced with software running in autonomous systems (satellites, spacecrafts preferred, but other examples would include UAVs, self-driving cars, etc.) β’ NVIDIA Isaac Sim, NVIDIA omniverse or other simulation tools β’ High-fidelity simulations with ANSYS, Matlab, etc β’ Implement software for automated testing at component, functional and system levels, including HITL (Hardware in the Loop) testing β’ Ideally you also have experience with HDL design for FPGAs, but it is not a must β’ Proficient in FPGA design using VHDL/Verilog, Vivado, and ModelSim β’ Implement low level software to interface with various spacecraft components Company Overview β’ SoftServe is a digital authority that advises and provides at the cutting-edge of technology.
