Job Description
Summary We are a high-growth, private equity-backed platform in the industrial automation space. We operate as a project-based business, which makes our accounting needs, specifically Percentage of Completion (POC) and WIP, fairly complex. We are looking for a hands-on ERP Project Manager to oversee the stabilization and expansion of our NetSuite environment. While a third-party implementation partner handles technical configuration, we require an internal "owner" to act as the bridge between technical teams and business users. The ideal consultant will provide project management rigor, data migration execution, and a small aspect of user training for a lean corporate finance team. A critical component of this role is the "translation" of complex NetSuite functionality into layman’s terms for bookkeepers at newly acquired "mom-and-pop" business units who are transitioning from QuickBooks or manual spreadsheets. We are looking for help with these key activities: • Stabilization: We recently went live with a business unit, but it was a "rocky" start. We need immediate help cleaning up data, refining the configuration for POC accounting, and getting the core system stable. • Migration Management: We have three more acquisitions currently on QuickBooks that need to be migrated over the next six months. You will lead these transitions. • The "Translator" Role: Many of our business units are small "mom-and-pop" shops. Their bookkeepers are tactical and hands-on, but they aren't NetSuite experts. You’ll need to translate complex system requirements into simple, repeatable processes they can follow. • The Playbook: Since we plan to acquire 4–5 companies a year, we need you to build the "M&A Integration Playbook" so we aren't reinventing the wheel every time we buy a company. We envision this as a part-time engagement (~3 days/week) with occasional travel required for training and meeting the team.
