Job Description
At arenaflex, we're revolutionizing the way people learn languages, starting with English, Spanish, and French. Our mission is to make language learning accessible to everyone, and we're looking for a motivated and empathetic Customer Engagement Specialist to join our B2B team in Korea. As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in helping our corporate clients' employees successfully activate their accounts and achieve their English goals. **About arenaflex** arenaflex is on a journey to fix the broken language learning process. We're creating an AI-powered experience that replicates the flow of a conversation, making it radically more accessible for people to have conversations in a foreign language. Our goal is to help hundreds of millions of people gain fluency who otherwise wouldn't be able to. We've made significant progress since our inception over five years ago, and we're now live in over 40 countries, with a valuation of $1B and a team of over 90 based throughout San Francisco, Seoul, Tokyo, Taipei, and Ljubljana. **The Role** As a Part-Time Customer Engagement Specialist (Contractor), you'll focus on engaging with our enterprise end learners to ensure they successfully activate their accounts and achieve their English goals. You'll partner closely with our Customer Success Managers (CSMs) to deliver impactful engagement strategies. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on direct user interaction and is passionate about seeing learners succeed. **Key Responsibilities:** * Proactive Learner Outreach: Engage with end learners through calls, emails, and SMS to encourage initial product activation (first-time login) and sustained usage. * Driving L&D Goals: Monitor learner progress towards specific usage targets and provide encouragement and support to help them meet these objectives. * Collaboration with CSMs: Partner with Customer Success Managers to understand account-specific engagement strategies and best practices. You'll be responsible for ensuring learner engagement activities and progress are accurately tracked, primarily using HubSpot. * Messaging and Material Development: While CSMs will provide guidance and templates, you'll have the autonomy to adapt and craft compelling messages. You'll also contribute to building engagement materials, which may include call scripts, email/SMS templates, and learner-facing one-pagers (potentially using tools like Figma). * User Support & Guidance: Assist learners, including those who may be less tech-savvy, in navigating the arenaflex platform and overcoming any initial hurdles to ensure a smooth learning experience. **What We're Looking For:** * Native/Fluent Korean Speaker: Essential for effective communication with our learners in Korea. * Proven Outreach Experience: Demonstrated experience in a customer-facing role involving proactive outreach, such as customer support, sales development, or cold calling/emailing. * Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in Korean. Good proficiency in English is a plus. * Empathetic & Persuasive: Ability to connect with learners, understand their challenges, and motivate them towards their goals. * Tech-Savvy: Comfortable learning and using new software (e.g., CRM systems like HubSpot, communication tools). Experience guiding others through digital products is crucial. * Organized & Proactive: Ability to manage outreach to multiple learners, track progress, and take initiative to improve engagement. * Passion for Learning/Education: A genuine interest in language learning, education, or L&D is highly desirable. * Collaborative Spirit: Eagerness to work closely with the CSM team and contribute to a shared mission. * Experience with Figma or similar design tools is a plus. **Role Details:** * Type: Part-Time Contractor * Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week. * Duration: Initial 3-month contract, with the potential for extension based on performance and business needs. * Location: Remote (Korea-based preferred). Preference for candidates who can be available for in-person training if feasible. **Why Work at arenaflex** * Join a fantastic, tight-knit team at the right time: we're growing very quickly, we've most recently raised our Series C from some of the top investors in the valley, and we've achieved product-market fit in our initial markets. You'd join at a magical time when a single person could significantly change the course of the company. * Do your life's work with people you'll love working with: we care strongly about our craft and want every person at arenaflex to feel like they're growing every day. We believe in the idea that working with people you both enjoy and have respect for makes everything better. We hire thoughtfully and only work with people we admire deeply. * Global in nature: We're live in over 40 countries and launching in a number of new markets soon. We have dedicated offices in San Francisco, Ljubljana, Seoul, and Tokyo, and you'll have the opportunity to talk to users in each of these regions on a regular basis as well as travel. * Impact people's lives in a major way: Learning a language is one of the single most life-changing skills one can learn, and right now 99% of people never achieve their goal because the process is broken. We're helping millions of people achieve their goals and improve their lives. arenaflex is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate based upon race, religion, color, national origin, gender (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions), sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, status as a protected veteran, status as an individual with a disability, or other applicable legally protected characteristics.
