Our team is passionate about delivering high-quality care and making a meaningful impact in our communities. **Job Summary** As a Customer Care Representative, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to patients, families, and healthcare professionals. You'll handle incoming and outgoing calls, process orders, and coordinate patient services. This is a fully remote position, and we're looking for a motivated and organized individual to join our team. **Key Responsibilities** * Handle incoming requests for referrals, new orders, and refills, and verify requests and referrals to ensure accurate processing. * Initiate insurance verification and gather necessary information for pre-certifications, authorizations, and certificates of medical necessity. * Provide ongoing follow-up of requests up to and following patient discharge. * Build equipment orders using patient medical records to coordinate patient services and offer alternate product support and suggestions to improve patient care and quality outcomes. * Provide verbal and written instructions to patients, families, and coordinating resources regarding provision of products and services, reimbursement, and patient financial responsibility. * Perform data entry of patient intake information into computer systems and record insurance information and authorization requirements and notes. * Coordinate delivery of requested services and referrals as appropriate, and coordinate with dispatch, warehouse, and clinical staff to ensure product availability and set delivery expectations with patients and providers. * Facilitate problem-solving with patients, hospitals, providers, referral sources, insurance companies, and clinical staff, and assist in maintaining and communicating changing payer and referral source information specific to coordination of patient needs. **Essential Qualifications** * High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge. * Literacy and basic math skills. * Working knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with hospital operations. * Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. * Proficiency with commonly used office software products and ability to learn new software applications. **Preferred Qualifications** * Previous experience in a healthcare setting. * Additional related education and/or experience. **Skills and Competencies** * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively. * Proficiency with computer software applications, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At arenaflex, we're committed to supporting the growth and development of our team members.
