Responsibilities: β€’ Own the full project lifecycle: charter, plan, execution, cutover, and closeout β€’ Decompose the implementation into discrete use cases and workstreams (e.g., new service requests, DER interconnection intake, workflow automation, system integrations) and manage each to completion β€’ Drive scope, schedule, budget, and resource plans β€” keeping them current and honest β€’ Lead cutover planning, data migration, and operational transition to steady state β€’ Lead or support the RFP/procurement process to select a platform (e.g., Accela, PowerClerk, GridUnity) and system integrator β€’ Define and finalize contracts and statements of work β€’ Hold vendors accountable to deliverables, timelines, and quality standards β€’ Escalate and resolve vendor issues quickly β€’ Serve as SCL's primary project representative across customer operations, IT, OT, cybersecurity, and executive leadership β€’ Build and execute a stakeholder engagement and communications plan β€’ Surface risks and issues proactively β€” bring options, not just problems β€’ Oversee requirements development, design reviews, and configuration decisions in partnership with business owners and the SI β€’ Manage a rigorous testing program: unit, integration (SIT), and user acceptance (UAT) β€’ Ensure documentation, SOPs, and training are complete before go-live β€’ Enforce security and compliance standards consistent with SCL practices Required Education & Experience: β€’ Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, Computer Science or related degree with 5 – 7 years of experience as a Project Manager. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree β€’ 7+ years of PM experience delivering complex, customer-facing technology implementations β€’ Experience in the utility, energy, or infrastructure sector β€” understand how utilities operate, who the stakeholders are, and what "operational readiness" means in that context β€’ PMP or equivalent credential (or demonstrated equivalent experience) β€’ Demonstrated ability to manage multi-vendor environments and hold system integrators accountable β€’ Experience managing implementations with significant system integration requirements (WAM, GIS, CRM, customer billing, or similar enterprise platforms) β€’ Strong stakeholder management skills β€” comfortable navigating technical, operational, and executive audiences β€’ Ability to break down large implementations into phased workstreams and manage each independently Strongly Preferred β€’ Direct experience with electric service request, permitting, or interconnection workflows β€’ Familiarity with platforms such as Accela, PowerClerk, GridUnity, or similar intake/workflow tools β€’ Experience with customer-facing utility applications (self-service portals, service request systems, or similar).
