With a strong presence in Orlando, FL, we offer a unique blend of professional opportunities and leisure activities, making it an ideal place to live and work. **Job Summary** As an independent freight agent/dispatcher, you will be responsible for soliciting freight services from customers, arranging transportation, dispatching loads to drivers, and monitoring freight to its final destination. You will work independently, with minimal supervision, and receive the necessary support to excel in your role. This position offers the potential for growth as you build your own customer base and develop professional skills in the freight industry. **Key Responsibilities** * Handle all incoming calls from drivers and customers, providing exceptional customer service and resolving any issues that may arise * Make outbound cold calls to new potential customers, utilizing effective communication skills to build relationships and secure new business * Monitor electronic messages for the fleet and respond to driver requests and inquiries in a timely and professional manner * Manage O.S.&D issues as they arise, ensuring that all issues are resolved efficiently and effectively * Address accidents as they occur, providing support and guidance to drivers and customers * Complete computer work for loaded calls, empty calls, relays, and other tasks, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail **Essential Qualifications** * 1+ years of experience in B2B telemarketing or inside sales, with a proven track record of success * Previous cold calling experience, with a strong ability to build relationships and secure new business * High school diploma or equivalent required * Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and explore alternative solutions * Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing * Proficiency in PC use, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, and MS PowerPoint **Preferred Qualifications** * Previous experience in the transportation industry, with a strong understanding of logistics and freight services * Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions * Experience with CRM software and other logistics tools * Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines **Skills and Competencies** * Effective interpersonal skills, conducive to a service/team-oriented environment * Ability to plan, meet deadlines, prioritize, and handle multiple projects simultaneously * Self-directing with minimal supervision * Strong problem-solving skills with creativity in exploring alternatives * Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing * Proficiency in PC use, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, and MS PowerPoint **Career Growth and Development Opportunities** This position offers the potential for growth as you build your own customer base and develop professional skills in the freight industry.
