Oklahoma State University is seeking a Temporary Billing Representative to support their Center for Health Sciences. The role involves reviewing coding in the Electronic Medical Records system, billing for hospital charges, and ensuring accuracy in all accounts. Responsibilities Reviews coding in Electronic Medical Records system and post the charges Codes and bills for hospital charges Captures all billing from all clinics and hospitals Checks all accounts for any duplicate charges Uses proper Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes, ICD-10 codes, and modifiers Attends seminars or webinars to stay current with changes in billing Skills High School/GED (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date) 1-2 years of medical billing background with 2 years of college or technical training In lieu of college or technical training, will accept 3 or more years coding and billing experience in a primary care or specialty facility CPC certification required Medical coding Medical billing Typing Computer skills 10-key skills Must have organizational skills and be able to handle multiple tasks Vocational/Technical 2 years college or technical training preferred Company Overview Oklahoma State University is a modern land-grant university that prepares students for success.
