About the position The Facilities Area Manager (Regional Facilities Operations) is a people leader who is responsible for leading non-manufacturing US regional facilities operations. This leader will be responsible for not only day-to-day operations, but also the long-term strategic planning for the Regional Facilities portfolio. The Facilities Area Manager will ensure the Operations Team is embracing a One Team mindset and is always working to maximize collaboration and efficiency. Responsibilities • Sets objectives and owns the delivery of metrics and Key Performance Indicators that have direct impact on the achievement of the results in the job area; has measurable contribution into functional results and align with the GM strategic priorities. • Owns the OpEx and CapEx and long-term planning for the portfolio. • Manages our Service Agreements and Service Partners. • Drives attainment of daily facility operational goals on the campus (enabling consistent facility management, maintenance, energy supply, cleanliness, environmental compliance, and material handling initiatives). • Comprehensive enterprise planning, including support of operations in asset sustainment prioritization and strategy. • Champions change management and role models GM’s behaviors necessary to maintain a productive team without inhibiting individuality. • Influences others within and/or outside the organization that are skeptical or unwilling to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches. • Builds a team with the optimal mix of talent and experience and guides individual development of direct reports and their teams to drive performance. • Is accountable for workforce planning, operational and often financial decisions in the area managed. • Develops Continuous Improvement mindset throughout the team. • Ensures GMS/OpEx is the foundation for continuous improvement via empowered team members lead by our business partners.
