We're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Hotel Food Service Worker to join our team in a rotational position. As a key member of our food service team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Kuik Cafe, providing top-notch service to our guests, and upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety. **Job Summary:** As a Hotel Food Service Worker at arenaflex's Qavartarvik Customer Lodge, you'll be responsible for a variety of tasks that contribute to the success of our food service operations. If you're passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences, working collaboratively with others, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety, we encourage you to apply. **Responsibilities:** • Washes food service area objects by hand or with cleaning equipment to maintain a clean and hygienic environment. • Cleans dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other equipment, and stores them in assigned areas in an organized and orderly manner. • Cleans, sweeps, mops, and wipes down all general food service areas and equipment to ensure a clean and safe environment. • Removes garbage from assigned areas, sets up or breaks down tables, and performs other tasks as needed to support food service operations. • Assists cooks or others as needed, coordinates activities with other food service team members, and maintains a positive and collaborative work environment. • Prepares food products safely and efficiently, following standard food-handling procedures to ensure the highest quality of food and service. • Participates in periodically scheduled large cleaning projects to maintain the cleanliness and organization of the food service area. • Maintains a variety of products at certain levels in preparation, serving, or storage areas, including service machines, and stocks storage areas with various products as needed. • Performs other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit's success, as assigned by management. **Qualifications:** • Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, callouts, and other non-traditional schedules as required. • Possession of a Food Handler card, Alaska Food Workers card, or ServSafe certification within 30 days of employment. • Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing English is required. • High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred. • Some prior experience or training that demonstrates knowledge of cleaning equipment and processes, or a suitability for and interest in this type of work, is preferred. **Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:** • Work environment: Indoors • Noise level: Moderate • Office conditions: Pace of work environment: Medium • Customer interaction: High • Description of environment: Hotel restaurant • Constantly required to stand; frequently required to walk; occasionally required to lift, pull, and push • Physical requirements: Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds • Travel: None **Competencies:** • Safety guides our behavior • Honesty and integrity govern our activities • Commitments made will be fulfilled • All individuals are treated with dignity and respect • The environment will be protected and sustained **Equal Opportunity Employer:** arenaflex is an equal employment opportunity employer.
