Our client, a prestigious golf club, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Golf Course Superintendent to oversee the meticulous maintenance and development of our world-class greens and fairways. Located in the heart of Noida, Uttar Pradesh, IN , this role demands a passion for turf management, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of course conditioning. You will be responsible for managing a team of groundskeepers, operating specialized equipment, and implementing innovative turf care strategies to ensure an unparalleled playing experience for our members and guests. Responsibilities: Develop and execute comprehensive agronomic plans, including fertilization, irrigation, pest and disease management, and cultural practices. Supervise, train, and motivate a team of grounds maintenance staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high performance. Manage the daily operations of the grounds department, including scheduling of work, equipment maintenance, and resource allocation. Oversee the budget for the grounds department, controlling costs while maintaining course quality. Implement and monitor water management strategies to ensure efficient and sustainable irrigation practices. Diagnose and treat turfgrass diseases, insect infestations, and weed problems, utilizing Integrated Pest Management (IPM) principles. Operate and maintain a variety of specialized turf equipment, ensuring safety and optimal performance. Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and company policies. Collaborate with the Head Golf Professional and Club Management to ensure the course meets the needs of golfers and special events. Contribute to long-term course improvement projects and capital expenditure planning. Maintain detailed records of all agronomic activities, including chemical applications, irrigation, and weather data. Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the grounds team. Qualifications: Degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, Turfgrass Management, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in golf course maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Class A certification from a recognized turfgrass management association is highly desirable. Proven expertise in turfgrass physiology, soil science, pest and disease management, and irrigation systems. Strong leadership and team management abilities, with excellent communication skills. Proficiency in budgeting, resource management, and record-keeping. Knowledge of environmental stewardship and sustainable turf management practices. Ability to operate and maintain various types of golf course maintenance equipment. A strong work ethic and the ability to work long hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
