Our Worldwide Defect Elimination (WWDE) team is a key part of this effort, working tirelessly to maintain customer trust by building products that offer appropriate resolutions to resolve issues faced by our customers. Our scientists solve complex problems and build scalable solutions to eliminate systemic defects and prevent future issues. **Key Responsibilities** As a Senior Applied Scientist, your role will be pivotal in leading the development of innovative solutions that detect and organize issues, identify root causes, and route them to resolving teams across the company. You'll leverage a spectrum of scientific techniques across both classical machine learning and natural language processing (NLP)/generative AI to comb over our billions of customer interactions (using a combination of media). Your key responsibilities will include: * Delivering solutions to core business problems and influencing business partners * Researching and developing modeling techniques for NLP, deep learning, and machine learning * Establishing scientific culture and standards for all scientists (publication, best practices, reviews, etc.) * Developing scientific talent on the team **Essential Qualifications** To be successful in this role, you'll need to have: * 5+ years of building deep learning or machine learning models for business application experience * A Master's degree in computer science, machine learning, statistics, mathematics, or an equivalent quantitative field * Deep knowledge in one or more areas of machine learning or deep learning * Proficiency with common ML and DL frameworks such as PyTorch * Experience programming in Java, Python, or a related language **Preferred Qualifications** While not required, we're looking for candidates with: * A PhD in computer science, machine learning, statistics, mathematics, or an equivalent quantitative field * Experience in patents or publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals * Strong experience with NLP and generative deep learning models (i.e. LLM) * Exceptional communication and collaboration skills **What We Offer** At arenaflex, we're committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive.
