JOB SUMMARY The Junior Graphic Designer will support the Marketing and Communications (MarComm) team by creating visual assets for print and digital media. Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility Values We Collaborate Authentically We Engage Respectfully We Keep Our Promises RESPONSIBILITIES Duties include, but are not limited to the following: Support with ongoing projects aimed at increased efficiency; Liaise with team members for review and feedback, adjust as needed; Assist in creating visual assets for digital and print media, including layouts, graphics, and presentations; Support in developing concepts and executing design projects; Format documents, reports, and presentations to ensure clarity, visual appeal, and adherence to brand and accessibility guidelines; Work with Marcomm manager and other team members to meet project requirements; Maintain RHF brand guidelines and ensure consistency across all deliverables; Prioritize and implement accessible design best practices; Support multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to deadlines; Support administrative tasks such as video editing and saving digital materials; and Perform other related duties in keeping with the purpose and accountabilities of the position. PREFERENCES An equivalent combination of education, experience and skills/behaviours will be considered. A degree or diploma in graphic design preferred; Proficiency with graphic design and editing software such as Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign; Knowledge of accessibility standards in design; Familiar with design principles, including typography, layout, and colour theory; Strong creativity and problem-solving skills; Effective oral and written communication, interpersonal, presentation and organizational skills; Strong skills in MS Word and PowerPoint for document editing and presentation design; Strategic thinker with an ability to execute; Strong attention to detail; High degree of professionalism, flexibility and adaptability; Ability to work both independently and within a team environment; and High level of discretion, tact, and judgment when handling confidential and sensitive information.
