The Vendor Support Coordinator role involves coordinating activities with internal departments and vendors to ensure effective resolution of inquiries and processing roadblocks, while also participating in process improvement efforts and supporting customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Under general supervision, coordinates activities with various internal departments to ensure effective and efficient resolution of a wide variety of processing inquiries and roadblocks; acts as a support contact for vendor needs; through leadership, acts as a liaison and facilitator with vendor and internal departments, coordinating activities to ensure effective and efficient ongoing issuance of new business; coordinates activities to resolve escalations Discusses process flows with leadership/internal departments and identifies process bottlenecks; participates in peer reviews; provides input from the perspective of cross-departmental functions; coordinates various cross training on new processes based on vendor/partnership implementations; updates procedural manuals based on new process implementations or changes Partners with Quality and Risk teams to ensure consistency of quality output; acts as the subject matter expert in meetings as needed, and makes recommendations for quality/service enhancements; supports business unit expectations of initiatives and projects Participates in multiple process improvement efforts to define, measure, analyze and improve processes owned by various business units under general direction; participates in root cause analysis to recommend quality/service enhancements or other appropriate actions to improve productivity for the business units Supports manager in facilitating communications with various internal departments and the vendor representative; keeps key stakeholders informed on the status of requests/issues; communicates with internal partners to ensure customer satisfaction and troubleshoot problems Develops internal customer relationships through rapport-building, listening skills, engaging the customer and building trust; refers unusual or more complex situations to a supervisor or manager Must have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a multi-cultural environment both verbally and in written correspondence Performs other duties as required Skills Culturally sensitive and aware Knowledge of personal computers and proficiency with prevalent software programs to perform analysis and organization of data in an informative and accurate format Advanced knowledge of Aflac's products and systems, procedures, policy data, benefit plans, company terminology, and the field force Excellent interpersonal, communication, customer service, email, webinar, and telephone customer service skills to effectively interact with and build relationships with Aflac's customers and associates Good written and oral communication skills with the ability to give various types of presentations and motivate others to perform Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field 0 - 2 years of job-related experience Or an equivalent combination of education and experience Must have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a multi-cultural environment both verbally and in written correspondence Insurance industry experience Benefits Medical, dental, and vision coverage Prescription drug coverage Health care flexible spending Dependent care flexible spending Aflac supplemental policies (Accident, Cancer, Critical Illness and Hospital Indemnity offered at no costs to employee) 401(k) plans Annual bonuses Opportunity to purchase company stock 11 paid holidays Up to 20 days PTO to be used for any reason State-mandated sick leave (Washington employees accrue 1-hour sick leave for every 40 hours worked) Other leaves of absence, if eligible, when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being Company Overview Aflac is a company that offers individuals and companies supplemental disability insurance.
