Why are we hiring a Development Engineer? As we build upon our already existing Development team, we are hiring for a Development Engineer. The Development Engineer is a capable and professional software developer, responsible for delivering well-structured and maintainable software within a supportive team environment. You will contribute to the design and delivery of well-crafted software that meets user needs, balancing quality with viability and roadmap requirements. You must work confidently within the team’s processes and technical foundations and contribute to team decisions through your ideas and feedback. You must take ownership of your work, suppo rt others through pairing and code reviews, contributing to a positive, delivery-focused team environment. As you build the customer’s product experience, you will identify opportunities to improve technical quality, team practices, and product impact. Who’s Instem? What are you responsible for? •Design, develop, and maintain functional, testable, and maintainable software components. •Interpret business and technical requirements and translate them into clear technical solutions. •Debug and resolve software issues, collaborating with peers and senior engineers. •Contribute constructively to code reviews to uphold shared code quality.• Write and maintain clear and valuable technical documentation, following established templates and standards •Collaborate with Product, Design, and other cross-functional colleagues to deliver high-quality features. •Contribute meaningfully and proactively in all team ceremonies, including planning, retrospectives, and design discussions. •Stay informed of current development practices and actively improve your technical skills. •Follow and contribute to improvements in delivery and quality practices. •Adherence to the company’s Quality and Information Security Management systems to ensure that all work is handled securely, professionally, and diligently. Skills, Knowledge and Experience: • A degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience in software development. • Hands-on experience with Claude or agentic engineering (coding with AI agents) would be highly desirable. • Proven experience across software development, including requirement analysis, implementation, testing, and deployment. • Experience with a modern front-end framework such as Angular or React • Experience using C# based frameworks such as .NET Core. • Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development practices. • Experience writing and maintaining unit tests, with a commitment to quality and reliability. •Experience working within agile development environments and cross-functional teams. • Effective communication and social skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-focused environment. • Willingness to learn from constructive feedback from mentors and your team. • Knowledge of our Quality Management System and its application to the tasks associated with this role.
