They are seeking a PAD & Payroll Specialist to manage payroll and pre-authorized debit files, ensuring accuracy and providing excellent client service. Responsibilities Manage payroll files, which includes: Set up the system that allows the file to run Schedule and coordinate running the files Quality-check the files Send the files to the client Answer inquiries about the files and their content Manage Pre-authorized Debit (PAD) Files, Which Includes Run queries to identify members who require pre-authorized debit (PAD) Build the pre-authorized debit (PAD) file that contains the members and their premiums Upload the pre-authorized debit (PAD) file into the treasury system Answer inquiries about the pre-authorized debit (PAD) transactions in the files Document the custom processes for payroll and pre-authorized debit (PAD) for your assigned clients Attend meetings with clients as the subject-matter expert for their payroll and pre-authorized debit (PAD) files Skills Knowledge and experience in the financial industry and specifically Group Benefits Prior experience in a payroll environment or working with payroll files You have excellent knowledge of Excel and are comfortable learning new applications and tools Exceptional client focus, consistently placing customer needs and experience at the center of decisions Clear and influential communication, both verbal and written, with strong negotiation skills and the ability to collaborate effectively Proactive problem‑solving, combining sound judgment, creativity, and the ability to drive solutions forward even in ambiguous situations Adaptability and resilience, demonstrating ease in managing change, competing priorities, and complex situations while maintaining professionalism Team‑oriented mindset, valuing colleagues' strengths, elevating team morale, and contributing to collective success Operational excellence and rigor, delivering high‑quality work on time and taking full ownership of responsibilities Continuous learning, with natural curiosity, rapid assimilation of new concepts, and a commitment to improving processes and practices Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
